 Calculations on PMP Exams
Solution Question:
I heard that some PMP exam questions will require calculations. Is this true? If so, which chapter requires such calculations? I've done the Chapter 6 e-sim baseline pre-test and pos-test but they do not contain any calculations.

PMP Expert Answer:
Regarding calculations for the Time knowledge area, you will find the network diagrams in the mini and PMP 200 question exams in the e-Sim. How to do the network diagrams is detailed in the time condensed notes. You will need to determine the ES, EF, LS and LF dates, the critical path and what the float is for the exam. There will also be calculations about Earned Value, for example, on the schedule variance (SV) and schedule performance indicator (SPI) on the real PMP exam. Samples of these are also in the mini and PMP 200 questions exams. For details on how to calculate the SV and the SPI, please see the cost condensed notes the last 2 or 3 pages has all the variance analysis calculations.
